Reading:

Next week, we will be reading Ramona Forever from our Reading book.  We will be learning new vocabulary words with this story.  We will also be practicing the skills of making inferences and identifying cause & effect relationships.    (3LA8, 16, 18-21, 23)

Language Arts:

Next week, we will practice spelling possessive nouns.  We will use a flowchart to help us understand this concept.  We will also begin writing a book of stories called Turkey Tales.      (3LA44-50, 60, 70-72)

Specials Schedule:

Monday:  Music

Tuesday:  P.E.

Wednesday:  P.E.

Thursday:  Math

Friday:  Math

Social Studies:

Next week, we will learn about the three branches of government (executive, judicial, & legislative), taxes, goods & services, and producers & consumers.  We are going to be busy!  (3SS3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 16)

Upcoming Dates:

November 26-28:  School Holidays

   

Math:

In Math next week, we will practice estimating sums & amounts of money, solving subtraction story problems, and identifying characteristics of solid shapes.  We will also learn about metric and customary units of weight.  Keep practicing 2s, 3s, & 5s multiplication and division facts at home!  Practicing really helps!   (3MA2, 3-4, 13-14, 18, 26-27)
