We have two gerbils as our class pets. Their names are Casey and Earnhardt, named after race car drivers because Miss Epperly loves to watch racing! They are both boys and love to be part of our class.
Each week, we have a class helper called the Zookeeper. The Zookeeper is responsible for making sure that the gerbils have plenty of food and water. The Zookeeper also gets to give the gerbils treats every afternoon. They love this!
If you are very calm and quiet, Casey and Earnhardt will stick their heads out of their front door and let you pet them. They're sweet little guys!
