Reading:

Next week, we will be reading How My Parents Learned To Eat from our Reading book.  This delightful story will help us to practice comparing and contrasting.    (3LA8, 16, 20, 21)

Language Arts:

Next week, we will practice using the homophones there/their/theyre correctly in sentences.  Please help your child practice this skill when completing homework at home.  We will be practicing this skill in our writing!    (3LA44-50, 70-72)

Social Studies:

Next week, we will begin a unit on communities.  We will begin by learning about what makes up a community and about the places in our community!  We will also begin making books that will tell the difference between rural, urban, & suburban communities. (3SS3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 16)

Math:

In Math next week, we will work on problem solving, how to write story problems, fractions, the 3s counting pattern, and subtraction.  We will begin working on the 3s multiplication facts.  Please have your child practice the 2s, 3s, and 5s multiplication facts nightly at home.  We will begin having weekly multiplication quizzes soon!   (3MA13-14, 18, 19, 23, 49-50)
