Reading:

We will read Science Magic.   This story presents several science experiments.  Students will practice reading directions and identifying steps in a process.    (3LA8, 29)

Language Arts:

Next week, Writers Workshop will continue!  We will be practicing editing and revising next week.  So far, we are off to a great start!    (3LA44-50)

Science:

We will begin a study of rocks and minerals next week.  During this unit, we will learn about types of rocks (igneous, sedimentary, & metamorphic), how rocks form, and how rocks are classified.  Next week, we will complete rock report books at school.  (3SC12-13)

Math:

Next Tuesday, we will have our next Math test.  It will be over identifying fractions.  Please refer to the note that was sent home this week to help your child prepare.  On Wednesday, we will begin learning about multiplication.  We will discuss how multiplication is related to addition and we will learn 2s, 3s, and 5s multiplication facts through 10. (3MA 1, 13-14, 18, 49-51)
