Reading:

We will read Opt: An Illusionary Tale.   The students will be invited to make judgments and decisions throughout the selection.  (3LA8, 29)

Language Arts:

We will be beginning Writers Workshop next week!  We will be learning procedures for Writers Workshop and writing stories.  We are so excited about this!    (3LA57-58, 70)

Specials Schedule:

Monday:  Math

Tuesday:  Math

Wednesday:  Art

Thursday:  Music

Friday:  Music

Science/Health:

On Monday, we will review what we have learned about life cycles.  The test over this will be on Tuesday.  For the rest of the week, we will be discussing the consequences of using tobacco, alcohol, & drugs and proper hygiene.  (3SC6-7, 9-11, 3HE3, 5-6)

If your child is having his/her picture retaken, please send the original pictures in on retake day!

 

 

Math:

Next Tuesday, we will have our next Math test.  It will be over time.  Please refer to the note that was sent home this week to help your child prepare.  In addition, next week, your child will learn how to represent fractions of a whole or a set using concrete and pictorial models. (3MA 49-51)

Has your child told you about the visitors that we have in our room?  A couple of weeks ago, we received some butterfly larvae.  They are now in their chrysalises.  We are anxiously awaiting their transformation into painted lady butterflies!  We have some pictures of this on our class web site, so check it out!
