Reading:

Next week, well read Two Bad Ants from our Reading book.  This story will help us to practice cause & effect, understanding point of view, and identifying major story events.  (3LA8, 9, 19, 20, 21, 26)

Language Arts:

Next week, we will be doing some work with Grammar.  We will learn about the four types of sentences (statements, questions, commands, & exclamations).  We will also learn about subjects & predicates.  (3LA57-58, 70)

Specials Schedule:

Monday:  Art

Tuesday:  Music

Wednesday:  Music

Thursday:  P.E.

Friday:  P.E.

Science:

The fun continues in Science!  We will continue our study of life cycles next week.  We will discuss the life cycle of frogs and butterflies.  We will also discuss the difference between inherited and learned traits.  (3SC6-7, 9-11)

Upcoming Dates:

September 22-26:  ITBS Testing

October 10:  End of First 9 Weeks

  

 

Math:

Next week, we will be working with time.  We will be practicing telling time to the minute, using A.M. and P.M. correctly, and measuring elapsed time.  (3MA42)

Please be aware that we do have ITBS Testing next week.  The testing will be held in the morning Monday-Friday.  Please be sure that your child is well rested and eats a good breakfast!

 

Our lunchtime will be at 12:06 next week, so dont forget about breakfast!
