Reading:

Next week, we will be reading our first chapter book of the year, Sarah, Plain and Tall!  While reading, we will practice sequencing events from a story, comparing and contrasting settings, and identifying character traits.  (3LA8, 9, 20, 21, 24, 25)

Language Arts:

We are really working hard in Writing!  We wrote some great paragraphs in groups this week.  We will continue to work on writing paragraphs in the proper format.  We will also practice writing a wrap-up sentence for our paragraphs.  In addition, we will be working on adding details to paragraphs.  (3LA47, 64-70, 71)

Wednesday:  Math

Thursday:  Art

Friday:  Music

Social Studies:

Next week, we will review what we have learned so far about landforms.  We will also read about how landforms affect communities in our country.  While we read, we will practice taking notes.  (3SS 1-6)

September 22-September 26:  ITBS Testing

October 10:  End of First 9 Weeks

 

 

Math:

Next week, we will be working on estimation and rounding.  This will include rounding to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000.  We will also learn how to estimate sums & differences.  (3MA2-4)
