Reading:

Next week, we will be reading Meet An Underwater Explorer from our Reading book.  This story will help us to practice reading works of nonfiction.  We will also learn some cool facts about being a marine biologist!  (3LA8, 9, 18, 19, 22

Language Arts:

We will continue to work on paragraphs next week.  We will be practicing the proper form to use when writing a paragraph, including indenting.  We will also work on adding detail sentences to our paragraphs.  We will do this in groups and on our own.  (3LA47, 64-70)

Specials Schedule:

Monday:  NO SCHOOL!

Tuesday:  Art

Wednesday:  Music

Thursday:  Music

Friday:  P.E.

Social Studies:

Next week, we will be making a picture dictionary of landforms!  The landforms that we will be learning about are:  mountain, plain, peninsula, island, desert, plateau, delta, piedmont, canyon, coastal plain, wetland, grassland, hill, forest, and valley.  We will also talk about where some of these landforms can be found in the U.S.  (3SS 1-6)

Math:

Next week, we will be working with Chapters 3 and 4 in the Math book.  The test over Chapters 3 and 4 will be on Friday.  (Estimating sums and differences will not be on the test.)  (3MA4, 6, 7, 9, 13, 19)
